Leek lost its passenger railway in 1965, so the nearest mainline station is Stoke-on-Trent, around 10 to 12 miles away. A taxi to Stoke, Congleton or Macclesfield is often the easiest way to catch a train. That’s especially true early in the morning or late at night, when buses are thin.
